  35.          System Name: - this is an 8 Character ID for the BBS you are calling.  CP will extract this from the CONTROL.DATfile suppied with the .QWK Packets or ask your Sysop for the name.

  42.  1. Click on the Phone Icon, in the Icon Pallet or select Call Boss from the Utility Menu.

  44.  2. IF you use CP internal PKZip'ing feature...
  45.         then CP will handle everything for you and build the .REP file ready to send
  46.        and will launch the specified terminal application.
  47.     ELSE
  48.            Be sure to set STR 805 to a non zero number (1) if PKZip'ing is not used
  49.        2a. CP will automatically launch the LHarc 2.00 application 
  50.            (this is the application name supplied in the 1st Launch 
  51.            edit field [above]).  This utility is necessary to get your  
  52.            message prepared for uploading.
  53.        2b. Using the LHarc 2.0 application.  Locate the file in your 
  54.            :Gateway: folder that ends with a XXXXXXXX.MSG.  Compress 
  55.            this file using LHarc (See below for LZH settings).  Call 
  56.            the compressed file  XXXXXXXX.REP  (XXXXXXXX is the BBS 
  57.            Name from the CONTROL.DAT file or supplied by your sysop).
  58.        2c. Launch your Terminal program (WhiteKnight, Microphone II, 
  59.            ZTerm.....)

  61.  5. Dispable the Send with MacBinary II feature.  You want to send using Binary only.
  62.  6. Call your Sysop and upload the XXXXXXX.REP file via the QWK mail door.
  63.  7. Download any new .QWK mail waiting for you
  64.  8. Use UnZip/AME/LHarc 2.00 to uncompress the new .QWK files.  Be sure to place files in your :Gateway: folder.  CP only uses the following files .MSG and .DAT.
  65.  9. Delete any old .MSG and .REP files you just uploaded to the BBS.
  66. 10. Launch CP.  (if auto-import is turned on CP will import the messages, otherwise select Import Messages from the Utility Menu.

  70. 6-14-92 Added auto PKZip'ing for outbound QWK mail.  CP will automatically create a .REP file that is PKZip'ed.  If you wish to create your  own .REP file using .ARC or .LHZ or something else then you must change STR 805 to a non-zero number.  If STR 805 is non-zero then CP will leave outbound message in the raw .MSG file format.

CP will export new mail to an .MSG storage file.  It will then look for an existing .REP file.  If this file is not found then all messages in the .MSG storage file are PKZip'ed into an .REP file and the .MSG file is deleted.  If an .REP already exists will will no nothing, but will retain the .MSG file until a new .REP file can be built.  SO REMEMBER after you upload the current .REP be sure to delete it so CP can build a new one with pending outbound messages (in the .MSG file).
